MeksikoThe Fugitive (sh. Bjegunac) je američko-meksički film snimljen 1947. u režiji Johna Forda. Predstavlja adaptaciju romana The Power and the Glory britanskog pisca Grahama Greenea. Radnja je smještena u neimenovanu latinoameričku zemlju gdje su ateističke vlasti zabranile javno ispovijedanje religije. Protagonist, koga tumači Henry Fonda, je katolički svećenik koji je zbog prkošenja vlastima postao odmetnik, a koga pokušava uhvatiti policijski poručnik (koga glumi Pedro Armendariz).
The Fugitive je snimljen na lokacijama u Meksiku, što je filmu trebalo dati dodatnu autentičnost, s obzirom da su se događaji nalik na one u radnji bili dogodili za vrijeme tzv. rata Cristerosa 1920-ih. Film je, međutim, doživio komercijalni neuspjeh, ali i porazne kritike, a što se najčešće tumači angažmanom Fonde za ulogu latinoameričkog svećenika, a u kojoj se nije najbolje snašao. S druge strane se često navodi da je upravo The Fugitive bio jedan od najeksplictnijih odraza Fordovih katoličkih uvjerenja na njegovu filmografiju.
