London After Midnight (sh. London poslije ponoći, također poznat kao The Hypnotist) je bio američki crno-bijeli nijemi film snimljen 1927. u režiji Toda Browninga. Po žanru je kombinacija kriminalističkog i horor filma, i temelji se na Browningovoj priči "The Hypnotist". Radnja je smještena u London i prikazuje ubistvo bogatog aristokrata, koje je nakon istrage proglašeno za samoubistvo, ali nakon koga njegovu kuću preuzima tajanstveni čovjek grotesknog izgleda. U filmu je nastupio Lon Chaney u dvostrukoj ulozi i za njega ponovno primijenio svoju vještinu filmske šminke kako bi sebi potpuno izmijenio izgled. London After Midnight je postigao ogromnu gledanost te zaradio oko 500.000 US$, postavši komercijalno najuspješnijom kolaboracijom između Browninga i Chaneya. Njegov uspjeh se odrazio i u novelizaciji koju je 1928. objavila Marie Coolidge-Rask, ali i na suđenje za ubistvo u londonskom Hyde Parku, kada je optuženik bez uspjeha pokušao okriviti film da ga je učinio privremeno neuračunljivim. Godine 1935. je Browning snimio zvučni remake pod naslovom Mark of the Vampire.
13. maja 1967. je posljednja kopija filma izgorjela u požaru MGM-ovog trezora u Culver Cityju nakon čega se film uživa reputaciju jednog od najpoznatijih izgubljenih filmova. Godine 2002. je TV-kanal Turner Classic Movies u produkciji Ricka Schmidlina napravio 45-minutnu fotografsku rekonstrukciju filma.[1] The following year, the reconstructed version was released as a part of The Lon Chaney Collection DVD set released by the TCM Archives.[2] Sačuvana kopija filma predstavlja jedan od motiva zapleta treće sezone britanske TV-serije Whitechapel.
