Prix Pulitzer de l'essai

Le prix Pulitzer de l'essai est attribué depuis 1962 pour récompenser un essai d'un auteur américain, qui ne puisse être classé dans les autres catégories^[1]. Un prix unique est décerné tous les ans. Les noms des finalistes sont annoncés depuis 1980.
