"I Hate Myself and Want to Die" on grunge-yhtye Nirvanan kappale. Sen on kirjoittanut yhtyeen keulahahmo Kurt Cobain. Sen piti alun perin ilmestyä Nirvanan viimeisellä levyllä In Utero. Myös albumin nimi piti alun perin olla I Hate Myself and I Want to Die. Se julkaistiin vuoden 1993 The Beavis and Butt-head Experience -kokoelmalla ja singlen Pennyroyal Tean B-puolena vuonna 1994 ennen kuin single vedettiin pois markkinoilta Kurt Cobainin kuoleman seurauksena. Demo-versio julkaistiin vuoden 2004 With the Lights Out -box-setillä.

Kappale innoitti Noel Gallagherin kirjoittamaan Oasis-yhtyeen hitin ja klassikon Live Forever, josta tuli yhtyeen ensimmäinen todellinen läpimurto.
